Ring Plain Journal illustrates Taranaki with photographs released by their authors for free reuse, most of them in the public domain. We chose pictures that show the region as a visitor finds it: the mountain over farmland, a track sign in the tussock, waves against a seawall, a lighthouse on the cape. This page lists each one, with the typefaces and graphics that give the site its look.

Typefaces
Headings are set in Bitter, a slab serif drawn by Huerta Tipográfica; running text uses Karla, a grotesque sans serif designed by Jonny Pinhorn. Both families are released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, and we host the font files ourselves alongside the pages.
Logo and graphics
The logo, a volcanic cone inside a dotted ring above a line of surf, and the site's design were made for Ring Plain Journal. They are not derived from any earlier site on this domain or from the marks of any tourism organisation.
